John Fulbrook III is group creative director with an expertise in design thinking. For over 15 years John has been doing influential work for global brands ranging from identity and branding to activation and retail experiences. Most recently, leading the design practice at Translation LLC., he oversaw all design initiatives from creating NFL design systems for youth and visualizing AT&T immersive cultural events, to visual languages for the Brooklyn Nets and even relaunching the Translation brand itself. Working directly with Steve Stoute, he managed and lead all design helping Translation empower brands and artists to thrive in contemporary culture. Previously he led design and worked as a Group Creative Director for The Martin Agency (2016 One Show Agency of the Year) and Creative Director for Brian Collins at Collins (Fast Company Best Branding Agency of 2015). Prior to that, he was a creative director at Simon & Schuster bringing to life the stories for some of the biggest names in publishing from Stephen King, Miranda July and Chuck Klosterman to Ernest Hemingway and Don DeLillo. John has won strategic, design & ad awards from the AIGA, ADC, TDC, ZGRAF, Print Magazine, I.D. Magazine, SPD, Communication Arts, and Jay Chiat Awards. He also taught communication design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC for over 12 years and lectures at a range of universities. He can often be found obsessing about music, sneakers, photography, and the plating of food.
